I met Collin at Knot and Grain‘s pop-up show in Chicago this past weekend, and I was immediately drawn to his work. He focuses heavily on small, everyday objects that are both useful and attractive like vases, card holders, table-top lamps, and more.
Now, he has unveiled his latest project, a handsome wooden folding table that’s intended to become a permanent staple in your home. When you think about folding tables, you probably envision dented steel tubing, cheap laminate, and crappy rubber. Collin is trying to change all of that with the Everyday Folding Table.
Each one will be built from the finest wood in his St. Louis-based workshop. There are no loose parts, and the table can be set up or taken down in less than a minute. Right now, the EFT is only available through Collin’s Kickstarter campaign, with the first tables going out in September. As you’d expect, it’s expensive to run a woodworking operation, and Collin is ready to expand into a new facility, bring on new team members, and make the EFT a permanent product in his growing line of well-designed work.
By pledging, you’re helping to support an American business and a craftsman who is more than worthy of your time. Get on it.
